What types of adhesives are there?

Selection of tile adhesives

1. Select the bonded material according to the chemical properties of the bonded material. Some of the bonded materials contain some polar groups, so it is necessary to choose an adhesive that can react chemically with it, which can improve the strength of the joint.

2. Select according to the physical properties of the bonded material, including the surface tension of the bonded material, the solubility of the solvent in the adhesive, and the surface characteristics of the bonded material, such as rigidity, elasticity, toughness, etc.

3. Select according to the special requirements of adhesive joints. Because there are various adhesive materials, and the occasions and conditions of use are also ever-changing, so the appropriate adhesive must be selected according to the specific requirements for adhesive joints. It includes mechanical strength such as tensile strength, bending resistance, peeling resistance and impact resistance, high temperature resistance, water resistance, oil resistance, low temperature resistance and other special functions as well as optical and electromagnetic properties.

4. Select the adhesive according to the conditions required for curing. The curing is affected by conditions such as temperature, pressure, time and air. Some adhesives need to be cured by heating, some need to be cured under pressure, and some need to be isolated from the air. Therefore, the adhesive with corresponding curing conditions should be selected according to the conditions required by the use occasion.

Binder formula 1.

Formula 1 for laying ordinary bricks: 30KG cement + 50KG yellow sand + 1 glue coating = ordinary adhesive (cost = about 0.38 yuan/KG)

Note: This formula can be used as leveling mortar and can be used to paste ordinary ceramic tiles for thin-laying construction.

2. Paste vitrified tiles

Formula 2: 10KG cement + (10-15) KG yellow sand + 1 gumming essence = strong binder (cost = about 0.75 yuan/KG)
