Cement types and scope of application Characteristics of different cements

Cement types and scope of application

1. Main components of Portland cement: Portland cement clinker is ground into a small amount of limestone or granulated blast furnace slag and an appropriate amount of gypsum. It is a hydraulic cementitious material. Scope of application: Suitable for preparing high-strength grade concrete, pre-tensioned prestressed products, roads and projects constructed at low temperatures. 2. The main components of ordinary Portland cement (ordinary cement): it is finely ground from Portland cement clinker plus 6% to 15% mixed materials and an appropriate amount of gypsum. It is the most commonly used hydraulic cementing material. Scope of application: Strong adaptability, can be used in projects without special requirements.

3. The main components of slag Portland cement (referred to as slag cement): it is made from Portland cement clinker, granulated blast furnace slag and an appropriate amount of gypsum. It is a hydraulic cementitious material and is the largest cement variety in my country. Scope of application: Suitable for various concrete projects on the ground and underground water, and high-temperature workshop buildings.

4. The main components of pozzolanic Portland cement (referred to as pozzolanic cement): it is made of Portland cement clinker added to pozzolanic mixed materials and an appropriate amount of gypsum, and is ground into a hard cementitious material. Scope of application: Suitable for underground and water projects, large-volume concrete projects, general industrial and civil buildings.

5. The main components of fly ash Portland cement (referred to as fly ash cement) are: finely ground from Portland clinker, fly ash and an appropriate amount of gypsum. It is a hydraulic cementitious material. Scope of application: Suitable for large-volume concrete projects, underground projects, general industry and civil buildings.

6. The main components of composite Portland cement (referred to as composite cement) are: Portland cement clinker and two or more specified mixed materials added with an appropriate amount of gypsum and ground into fine pieces. It is a hydraulic cementitious material. Scope of application: Suitable for general concrete projects as well as industrial and civil construction projects.

Characteristics of different cements

1. Portland cement codes are P-I and P-I1. The font color of the packaging is red, and the intensity levels can be divided into six levels: 42.5, 42.5R, 52.5, 52.5R, 62.5, and 62.5R. The main characteristics are fast setting and hardening, high early strength, large heat of hydration, good frost resistance, poor heat resistance, poor corrosion resistance, and low drying shrinkage.

2. Ordinary Portland cement is code-named P-O. The font color of the packaging is red, and the intensity levels can be divided into four levels: 42.5, 42.5R, 52.5, and 52.5R. The main characteristics are rapid condensation and hardening, high early strength, large heat of hydration, good frost resistance, poor heat resistance, poor corrosion resistance, and low drying shrinkage.

3. The codes for slag silicate water are P-S-A and P-S-B. The font color of the packaging is green, and the intensity levels can be divided into six levels: 32.5, 32.5R, 42.5, 42.5R, 52.5, and 52.5R. The main characteristics are slow setting and hardening, low strength in the early stage, and rapid strength growth in the later stage; small heat of hydration; poor frost resistance; good heat resistance; good corrosion resistance; large dry shrinkage; large bleeding and impermeability 7 characteristics including poor sex.

4. The code name of volcanic ash silicate water is P-P. The font color of the packaging is green, and the intensity levels can be divided into 6 levels: 32.5, 32.5R, 42.5, 42.5R, 52.5, and 52.5R. The main characteristics are slow setting and hardening, low early strength, and rapid strength growth in the later period; small heat of hydration; poor frost resistance; poor heat resistance; good corrosion resistance; large dry shrinkage; and good impermeability. and 7 features.

5. The code name of fly ash Portland cement is P-F. The font color of the packaging is green, and the intensity levels can be divided into six levels: 32.5, 32.5R, 42.5, 42.5R, 52.5, and 52.5R. The main characteristics are slow setting and hardening, low early strength, and rapid strength growth in the later stage; small drying shrinkage; and high crack resistance.

6. Composite Portland cement code P.C. The font color of the packaging is green, and the intensity levels can be divided into five levels: 32.5R, 42.5, 42.5R, 52.5, and 52.5R. The main characteristics are slow setting and hardening, low early strength, and rapid strength growth in the later period; small heat of hydration; poor frost resistance; other properties are related to the type and dosage of two or more mixed materials added.

What are the main uses of cement?

1. Concrete production: Mix cement with sand and stone, add water and mix into concrete, which can be used in construction, roads, bridges and other projects.

2. Mortar production: Cement is mixed with sand and water to make mortar, which is used for building walls, painting, repairing and other work.

3. Brick making: Cement is mixed with sand and water to make bricks, which are used in buildings and walls.

4. Road and bridge construction: Cement concrete is the main material for building bridges and roads.

5. Water conservancy project construction: Cement concrete is widely used in the construction of water conservancy projects such as dams, reservoirs, and sluices.

6. Civil engineering construction: Cement concrete is widely used in civil engineering construction such as tunnels, underground projects, and docks.

7. Decoration project: Cement walls can be decorated with various colors of paint.

8. Agricultural construction: Cattle sheds, chicken coops, etc. made of cement can provide necessary facilities for agricultural production.
